PNC Bank opens branch at Gatton Student Center

LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 24, 2018) — The University of Kentucky and PNC Bank NA, a member of PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: PNC), officially opened their new financial services center on the UK campus to serve more than 45,000 students, faculty and staff . It is the first PNC university bank branch in Kentucky.

Located in the Gatton Student Center, the 645-square-foot branch is staffed with two full-time consultants to assist clients with transactions. The branch is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

On campus, clients will have access to interactive financial planning tablets and advanced ATMs. These advanced ATMs allow customers to deposit and withdraw cash, including $1 bills, transfer funds between accounts, and retrieve account information.

Students can register for Virtual Wallet Student, an online and mobile account to manage their expenses, plan and save. For parents, the account has alerts, a “send money” feature, and expense tracking. Accounts feature one free incoming wire transfer per monthly statement cycle and free overdraft fee waivers for the first 12 months.

Financial support and advice is available for the UK’s MoneyCATS peer education and coaching program, as well as on-site workshops on personal financial management and financial literacy. Topics include basic banking, credit management, saving and investing, identity protection, and buying a home.

PNC account holders also have the option of linking their account to their Wildcat ID, which can be used to easily access cash at all PNC ATMs.

Five additional PNC ATMs are located on campus at 90, William T. Young Library, Funkhouser Building, Johnson Recreation Center, and University Health Service.

The bank has relationships with over 400 colleges and universities.
