Skyward adds Course Learning Center to Student Management Suite
Skyward, a K-12 school administration software provider, is launching a new module that will provide teachers with a single online hub for managing and communicating classroom activities. Course Learning Center, which will be available at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year, integrates with the company’s Student Management Suite.
The Student Management Suite is a student information system that automates reports and emails; integrates gradebooks, standards, attendance, schedule, discipline, and demographics; provides communication tools between home, office and classroom; and automatically creates status reports.
Course Learning Center will provide an online portal for teachers to provide course content to students, such as videos, photo galleries, audio recordings, documents and worksheets.
Other features of the Course Learning Center include:
- Student access to learning resources and study guides on the web that can be downloaded to their devices;
- teacher feedback;
- Digital locker, which allows students to submit files securely;
- Parental access to the Centre; and
- A single connection to the Skyward system.
Additionally, Course Learning Center provides educational tools for gradebook entry, time management, and an automatic plagiarism checker.
It also allows teachers to share instructional strategies, resources, and content through professional learning communities.
